parkruns are free, weekly, community events all around the world. parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit, and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along, whether you walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.

We love parkrun
Many Pitsea Running Club members are regulars at Basildon and Wickford parkrun as participants and volunteers. There will be lots of friendly faces to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. We are lucky to have cafés in both parks for some post event refreshments, a warming coffee in the winter or an ice-cream in the summer.

Junior parkrun
There is also a junior parkrun event at Northlands Park every Sunday at 9am.
Junior parkrun is a series of 2k runs for children held in areas of open space around the UK, Ireland and Australia. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. The courses are marshalled so that juniors will be in sight of at least one marshal at all times.
TAKE PART
Register your details to obtain your all-important barcode. When you have this, you are ready to go. Bring your barcode and join us on a Saturday at 8.45am to hear the new runners briefing that explains how the event works. Once you have taken part, you will be obsessed.
