Super Sunday

Sunday 22nd August was the first big race day for Pitsea Running Club since the lockdown in March 2020. With the option of a mass participation half marathon in London and a half marathon & 10k at the seaside we were spoilt for choice.

The Big Half

The Big Half and Pitsea Running Club were back on tour on Sunday running over Tower Bridge admiring the beautiful views. So nice to see Pitsea Running Club runners enjoying themselves from the early morning start on the train to the finish line at the Cutty Sark. Some smashing their times and others happy to finish. Well organised this year and great to see the crowds out encouraging everyone to the finish. A few Pitsea Running Club runners even had their minute of fame on the TV, lovely to see Gill smiling at the camera. Well done everyone, Pitsea Running Club back on tour.

Clacton Half Marathon & 10k

A lovely seafront run. Described as flat with the exception of some short and steep inclines - took me ages to get my run swing back after each hill. Lots of local Essex clubs. We finished up with fish and chips and a few beerio’s. I would recommend for next year.
