Good News, after a two year break our Club Ladder competition is back.
What is the Club Ladder Competition?
The Club Ladder is an annual competition open to all Pitsea Running Club first claim members. The competition usually runs for the membership year - 1st April to 31st March, but because we have had to delay the start late, this year it will run from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022.
How Does it Work?
Points are awarded for six different race distances; 5km, 5miles, 10km, 10miles, half-marathon and marathon. You score points for every official race that you complete. The points awarded for each race you complete are determined by your time and are based on a matrix that gives a maximum of 100 points for very fast times to 1 point for the not so fast. To keep things fair your finishing times will be age adjusted.
Points are awarded separately for the women and men competitions.
And what do points mean? Well, points mean prizes, with trophies being awarded to the first three women and the first three men.
How Do I take Part? Download a copy of the Club Ladder results spreadsheet from the file store on the Pitsea Running Club Members Facebook group.
Fill in your results of all the qualifying races that you complete between 1st October 21 and 31st March 22 on your Club Ladder results spreadsheet.
In December and March send your interim/completed Club Ladder results spreadsheet to club statistician Angela Smith so that she can allocate your points to you.
You must wear your Pitsea Running Club colours unless you are fundraising in which case charity vests are allowed. Runners caught breaking this rule will be docked 3 points.
You must be a First Claim member of Pitsea Running Club
